AJTwitterThis is a featured page

Welcome to our wading pool. This wiki page is for Aggie Journalists and friends to share their Twitter names and keep in touch, learn about Twitter or both.

In the spirit of Howard Owens' challenge to working journalists to become "wired" journalists, this is intended to give you an excuse to create a Twitter logon and dip a toe in, see how things work. Check the original post on this topic for examples of ways journalists are finding Twitter useful in both learning about breaking news and in broadcasting news quickly.

And if you are an Aggie journalist who's already wise in the ways of Twitter, please consider joining in as well and helping us learn. Post tips here, for example:
Twitter tip #1: A friend just showed me this explanation of how @ replies work on Twitter.
Twitter tip #2: Mashable produced a great guidebook on how to use Twitter. Useful for people from beginners to pros: http://mashable.com/guidebook/twitter/

Now: Everybody into the pool!

What to do: Three steps

First, create a Twitter account.
Second, post your Twitter name here. (The Aggie part of me wants to call this "dropping handles.")
Third, begin "following" as many of the people here as you like.

How to post your name here

Click "EasyEdit" at the top of this page; then you'll be able to just scroll down and type it in. No need to join/sign up for anything.
